The National Bank Building is Detroit's only building designed by McKim Mead and White, one of the premier New York architectural firms at the turn of the 19th century. The bank lobby is one of Detroit's most architecturally significant commercial interior spaces. This project required dividing the bank lobby into two spaces and separating the main lobby from peripheral support spaces. EKA accomplished these goals while retaining the magnificent historic character of the space with the installation of glass partitions. The partitions are simple in design, and detailed to avoid damaging the historic marble interior finishes.
