George Crockett Academy is located in a former parochial school building. The project renovates the building for use as a K-8 charter school and provides a multipurpose room addition. The project was constructed in three phases.

The first phase converted high-school laboratory space at the First Floor for use as Kindergarten and First Grade classrooms. The second phase renovated the Second and Third Floors similar to the First Floor. This phase also included installation of an elevator and barrier free lift to provide barrier free access to all parts of the building.

Construction of a 7,090 square foot lunchroom/auditorium was completed in the fall of 2001. The addition provides a multipurpose space that is used daily as a lunchroom, for special classes and for after school care.
