This project rehabilitated a former Catholic school and portions of a school/church building for use by a K-8 charter school. Elisabeth Knibbe Architects (EKA) worked closely with the local parish and the charter school administrators to develop a project that met the needs of the school within a limited budget.

The project consisted of two phases constructed over three years. The first phase upgraded the school building for classroom and office use. The second phase made extensive improvements to an existing school/church building (the Annex) to provide a multipurpose room, four classrooms and several offices. The second phase also included a small addition to accommodate egress stairs and a barrier free lifting device to provide barrier free access.
